Building Knowledge, Community, and Recovery for Long COVID

The covidCAREgroup (CCG) was founded in 2021 during the early stages of the global COVID-19 pandemic, when millions of people began experiencing persistent symptoms after infection and reliable information about Long COVID was limited.

What began as a small online support network quickly grew into one of the largest Long COVID education and advocacy communities in the world, connecting patients, clinicians, researchers, and advocates across the globe.

Our mission has always been simple:

Connect emerging science with real-world recovery support for people living with Long COVID and post-viral illness.

A Global Community Supporting Recovery

Since its founding, covidCAREgroup has grown into a global education and support network with members in more than 110 countries.

Through our online platforms, community initiatives, and educational resources, we have reached millions of individuals seeking guidance, validation, and practical strategies for navigating Long COVID and other complex chronic conditions.

Our community includes:

• individuals living with Long COVID and post-viral illness
• clinicians and healthcare professionals
• researchers studying post-viral conditions
• caregivers and family members supporting recovery
• advocates working to raise awareness of Long COVID

Together, we have helped amplify the voices of patients while supporting the growing body of knowledge surrounding Long COVID.

Thank you! Covid care group is what really helped me heal from long covid! It was a lifesaver, so thank you for your contributions!!

Clinical Expertise and Leadership

covidCAREgroup was founded by Delainne Bond, BSN, RN, a healthcare leader with a background in clinical nursing, neuropsychology collaboration, and complex chronic illness management.

Over the past several years, Delainne has worked internationally with clinicians, researchers, and patient communities to advance education and awareness surrounding Long COVID and post-viral recovery.

Her work has focused on translating complex emerging research into accessible, practical knowledge that individuals and healthcare providers can use to better understand Long COVID.

Through this work, covidCAREgroup has helped bridge an important gap between:

• rapidly evolving medical research
• patient experiences and lived reality
• practical recovery strategies

Advancing Long COVID Education

As Long COVID research continues to evolve, covidCAREgroup has developed educational resources that help individuals better understand the biological mechanisms believed to contribute to persistent symptoms.

Topics we frequently explore include:

• immune system dysregulation
• mast cell activation and histamine signaling
• neurological inflammation and brain fog
• autonomic nervous system dysfunction
• post-viral autoimmune responses
• recovery pacing and nervous system regulation

By translating emerging scientific findings into clear educational resources, we help individuals make informed decisions about their health while supporting meaningful conversations with healthcare providers.

From Education to Recovery

As awareness of Long COVID grows, the mission of covidCAREgroup is evolving beyond education and advocacy toward a broader focus on recovery and resilience.

In partnership with clinical professionals and wellness experts, we are currently developing Long COVID Recovery Retreats designed to support individuals navigating post-viral illness.

These retreats will provide structured environments where participants can focus on:

• nervous system regulation and recovery
• inflammation and metabolic health
• pacing and energy management
• restorative sleep and stress reduction
• nutrition and lifestyle strategies that support healing

Our goal is to create spaces where individuals can step away from the daily challenges of chronic illness and focus on restoring balance, building resilience, and reconnecting with their bodies.

A Growing Collaboration

As the Long COVID landscape continues to evolve, covidCAREgroup works closely with ProMedView Strategic Clinical Solutions, a clinical consulting organization focused on behavioral health, complex recovery, and workforce health.

This collaboration allows us to bring together:

• patient advocacy and lived experience
• clinical expertise and healthcare strategy
• interdisciplinary perspectives on recovery

Together, we are committed to advancing understanding of Long COVID while helping individuals and communities move toward meaningful recovery.
